The Spoonykipper Story

T minus 5760 minutes or something around that....

Not long now before I leave for America! I can't believe how fast it's come round. It only seems like yesterday that I was thinking "Only two months to go" and then BOOM! Out of no where it snuck up on me like some monocle wearing ninja (Just watched Cop Out and it had this funny part to do with a monocle. If you're wondering whats up with that).

Plans so far:

11th-18th - I'll be in Mobile staying with Susan and her family and being shown around by her and friends. Also we should be seeing places near by like New Orleans

19th-23rd - Off to Orlando to stay with Lindsay and we'll be going to lots of theme parks! We have plans to see Disney World and Universal Studios as well as others. Also if I'm lucky I might get to go to a shooting range YAY! Since I live in the UK we don't get to play with guns, so I'd like to shoot one at least once. Oh and I'll vist some family over there as well.

23rd-2nd - Back in Mobile to hang out with Susan and we will be going to see The Molly Ringwalds (Check it out http://themollyringwalds.com). Looks like a great 80s cover band.

3rd-5th - I will be off to South Carolina to see Sandi for the weekend. Not sure yet what we'll be up to but I think she said something about a BBQ.

6th-14th - In Mobile again until my flight back to the UK and my crappy town.

I wont be going to Ohio due to some difficulties. I will try and get out there another time to see friends and maybe go to a Con with them.

Besides that I'm now out of a my job as I was made redundant on the 3rd. We had a work leaving ball on the 24th of July for everyone that worked or did work there. It was nice to see some of the old faces and was a good night, well apart from one part! I didn't have any ID to get in to the club...I always had my provisional drivers licence in my wallet but I had passed my driving test that week (WOOOO!!!!) and they take it off you. So no club for me *sad panda*.

The 3rd was our last day we all went out for drinks. We had a half day and hit the pub at 12pm and stayed until...Well I left about 6:30pm and a few people were still around. It was a kind of happy/sad mix of feelings for most people. A nice thing was we all got given laminated papers with goodluck/bye messages on from everyone in our office. I was a bit surprised to see how many I had....I didn't expect to get that many. Made me wish I had written more on peoples. Problem was writing something on everyones, you run out of things to put and by the end I was just writing "All the best and goodluck in whatever you do next". Oh well, at least I wrote something on everyones.
