Mass O Update!
Posted: Tuesday, 16 March 2010 by Spoonykipper inYes I'm still around! I have been trying to do an update but keep getting side tracked.
Work & Things
My office is looking deserted with more people being let go each week and other people leaving for new jobs instead of sitting around waiting. I have gone for the "wait and see" option as I have found the courses I want to do and would prefer to stay here and save my money up. The downside to having some idea of what I want to do now is:
1) It's going to take a few years of school.
2) I don't think I can go on my trip as it's going to cost a fair bit for the courses.
Plus side is I'll be doing something creative and fun and hopefully will get a job I enjoy.
Games & Stuff
The gamer in me has been in overload for last few months with:
Bayonetta - Like Devil May Cry but you're female....jump, shoot, hack&slash your way through lots of angels and get upgrades to have better ways of doing it. Have to say I liked this more then Dante's
Dante's Inferno - Following the hype of the game I was looking forward to this and...was let down. God of War does it better.
Mass Effect 1&2 - I'd never played the first game before, but I heard people talking about the second game alot so I picked both up. Really liked both games and gave me a reason to use my 360 for once. Can't wait now for the third one now.
Heavy Rain - After seeing clips for the game online I couldn't wait to play this! The game was just wow! I was hooked from when I started playing this and couldn't stop till I had finished it (5am the next morning). When I find some free time from other games I'll be redoing it for other endings.
Silent Hill Shattered Memories - I'd never got in to Silent Hill games before but new concept behind this one intrested me, it's just you and a flashlight in Silent Hill. Also the endingto it was just!! So thanks to this game I now have Silent Hill 1-4 to play.
Assassin's Creed 2/Resident Evil 5 - I'd finished both games but they've now got DLC's for both with extra missions and what not to do. Due to that I got to dust those off and have another run round on both of them.
Final Fantasy XIII - Playing this at the moment and have almost finished it. The game is very different to the normal FF game as the first 30odd hours are very linear and focused on the story. Granted FF has always been about the story but you could go off and come back to it at your own pace, this game is walking you down a set path from one cinematic to the next with monsters to kill on the way, sometimes the path might break off in two but one will be a dead end with an item box. When the game does open up you also get some quests/missions to do as well and also gives you a chance to get some exp before getting back on the path of the story. Besides all that I have enjoyed it!
Final Fantasy XIV - Not that I can talk about testing the game soo.....
Dragon Age Origins Awakening - I really liked Origins and it was my first Bioware game (also what made me try Mass Effect). This is...well was my first 100% achievement on a game! Until they brought out the first expansion for it "Awakening" which is out today. So as soon as I finish FFXIII I'll be switching over to this and then go back to FFXIII for all the extra bits.
Stuff & Things
I had last week off work as I was using up my holiday....it was ok apart from being ill though most of it. I chatted to my girlfriend, played some games, watched a film or two, went out Friday night as I was feeling better and had a driving lesson on Saturday.
Friday night I went out bowling with Paul and Kashmira but this time we had a new player as my girlfriend came as well. She said she'd not been bowling in ages and was really bad at it etc....An then went and won the first game, she almost won the second game as well and so I think we almost got hustled! I also had Paul saying to me most of his turns that he was going to "teach me a lesson" because last time we went bowling I won 3 out of 3 games. It was close but Spoony won 2 out of 3 and did a happy dance ^^.
Saturday morning I had my first driving lesson in about 2-3 weeks. I had booked another block of lessons before my test to get used to the new car my driving instructor had and also to go over things. The lesson went pretty well and the new car will take a little bit to get used to but it seems alot easier to drive (didn't stall it once!).
Apart from that not much going on really but I did if anyone noticed (if anyone reads this)that I have removed the comments. That was due to my ex and someone else having a nice little fight between each other, so I took them off.
