Happy 2010!
Posted: Sunday, 3 January 2010 by Spoonykipper inWell I hope everyone had a good Christmas and a nice New Years. My Christmas was ok I guess but didn't feel like Christmas at all.....normally I wake up early all excited and opening up the prezzies in the stocking and then I go wake up everyone else up. Once eveyone is up I make them open stuff!! I love the giving part of Christmas and me keeping a secret about what I got people is really hard to they have to open them asap! Then after all the prezzies to close family our opened (parents&brother) normally disapper in to my room for awhile to check out me new things, try a game etc. Thats how my Christmas used to be....this year I wake up/got woken up about 11am something, layed in bed lisening to my parents, my brother, his girlfriend and her daughter all laughing. After awhile I got up went to the bathroom, spent awhile just staring at myself in the mirror and then had a shower. After getting washed and dressed I came down to everyone more or less already opened all their prezzies and I just sat on the stairs (no real room for me of the sofas) while they all talked and I got handed things to open. I didn't wrap any prezzies either so I just asked people to close their eyes while I handed them stuff. Christmas just didn't feel the same this year it was just a day off work for me...
I did get some nice bits. I had asked for money and I got about....£140 I can't remeber, a film (The Hangover), a DS game (new zelda game), music (MJ's This Is It), cloths, weird gadget things (mini helicopter) oh and some lego. After a little while my brothers girlfriend and her daughter left to go spend time with her family and my brother stayed with us for dinner.
My brother left a little while after dinner which was a let down I had planned to play a game with him. He was tired due to him getting stuck in London the night before and having to crash round a work mates house, so he went and I took all me prezzies up to my room and that was my Christmas really. Not too bad I guess.
Films
After Christmas I went to see two films and I think both were good first one I went to see was Sherlock Holmes. I would of seen this on boxing day (day after Christmas) when it came out but I was working (also why Christmas felt just like a day off) so I went on the 27th to see it as I got two days off! wow....lucky me. Sherlock Holmes was good it was darker then your normal sophisticated Holmes and I think Robert Downey Jr played him well.
After that I went to see Avatar on New Years eve as I got out of work at 1pm. Avatar was just great I wish I had seen the 3D ver of it as the visuals of it were just...wow really. It was also a love story which I'm a sucker for and after it was left wondering will I ever find someone. On the way home I looked up and saw the full moon and as I looked I wondered is she looking at the moon as well as I look at it? Is she trying to find me as I try to find her? Who knows...
New Years
Nope did nothing for New Years. Stayed at home, watch some films and chatted to people online. I also did a ritual in the full moon (first for me) so I could recognize my true love and I did this yearly thing with my Mum at midnight. She opens the back door letting the old year out then I open the front door to letting the new year in.
I have also this year set myself some goals:
1. Learn to drive (test is on the 3rd of Feb).
2. Start planning out my trip in more detail.
3. Start my workout plan again (kind of stopped due to depression).
4. Get ideas down for a book and start it.
5. Learn a new language.
6. Go on trip!
After trip:
7. Get my own place.
8. Learn the piano.
9. Finish book and try and get it published.
10. Do a 3D animation course.
11. Get a job doing something I love.
12. Be happy.
I guess that's really plans for a year+ but I at least have some ideas down as to what I want to do or aim to do.
Well that's it for now and I will at some point promise to update with those pic's I keep saying I will do!
