The Spoonykipper Story

So I went out last night to Amys birthday do. We were all going to Aroma Kitchen which is a place that does a chinese food buffet. I got home had a shower, did my hair and got ready for a night out since I had the idea since it's her birthday and like most birthdays it would be a meal plus a night out. An I was wrong....I got there about 7 and everyone was still waiting outside for people to turn up. We stood around for a little bit while people smoked but it turned out due to payday being in a few days that most people didn't want to do anything else.

The conversation....was well you go out with work people and they talked about work. I know thats what we all have in common but saying about who works more then others and not sure why other people still have a job when they do nothing etc isen't that intresting. I felt a bit out of place that night as some of the girls were grouped down one end, had Tim and his girlfriend down the other and other people seem to have grouped and chatting and I was kind of in the middle to myself but I did have Deny to chat to now and then. I did try and join in with the chats but since it was all bitching about other people at work I did really want to stay out of it, well most of the time. But I did find it funny people saying someone was twofaced and a backstabber when they were sitting around bitching about that person.

Food was good and I went up for three plate fulls before calling it quits (I hadn't eatten much that day saving for the yummy chinese). After we had paid and left me, Deny, Lewis, Tim and his girlfriend went to the pub. I was kind of disapointed that none of the other went but meh what can you do. We got to the pub and I got a round of drinks for everyone and we spent the night talking about pretty much the same thing but I joined in since we had moved on to managers (I mean who doesn't hate their bosses?) but we had some good laughs, also talked about them screwing up all the teams in the office (they moved us all around AGAIN) and just other crazy stuff.

After we was done Deny drove me, Tim and his girlfriend home (Lewis had left earlir to catch his bus home)we chatted in the car about music and some bits until Tim and girlfriend had been dropped off then me and Deny got on to the nice conversation about Ex's. It's always nice to talk to someone and have them know what you've going through etc and has been there done that kind of thing. Then we got back to bitching about co workers hehe.

But all in all it was a pretty good night. I was expecting a little more in the go out have fun part but we had fun and I guess it saved me some money which is always good since I'm trying to save for my trip.
